Apple AirPods Max

The Apple AirPods Max are a pair of over-ear wireless headphones that come with Bluetooth technology and noise cancellation. Apple created dynamic drivers that measure 40mm with a neutral sound profile that focuses on highs and mids without going overboard. They are great for movies and music. They also have better sound quality than many competing pairs of headphones.

The buttons are easy to use and well-placed, but I would have liked to see a power button that would turn off the headphones when not in use. Spatial audio is another great feature. It utilizes accelerometers, gyroscopes, and iPads or iPhones to determine where you are moving. Then, it alters the position of the sounds to make them seem to be coming from that location. This creates an immersive theater-like experience for videos and movies made in 5.1, 7.1 or Dolby Atmos. The only catch is that spatial audio requires an iOS device to use it and you won't be able to enjoy it with other devices.

The AirPods Max are a decent pair of headphones, but I'd feel a bit ripped off going into an Apple Store and spending $549 on the headphones if I knew they'd be outdone in a year by the new model. AirPods Pro are more expensive and have more battery life and are equipped with the latest features.
