Authorities have arrested the woman who allegedly opened fire and shot dead two NYU students outside a club in Puerto Rico.
Marangelys Claudio turned herself in to police in the municipality of Caguas on Monday.
The 31-year-old was seen on video surrounded by two men who were trying to calm her down after she got kicked out of the same club before she raised her gun in the air before she discharged it.
The gunfire struck Peruvian nationals Franco Medina, 29, and Sergio Palomino, 28.

The MBA students originally had planned with other classmates to travel to Orlando to celebrate a birthday, but flew to the Caribbean island Friday because it was more economical, outlets in the U.S.

The group was standing in front of the Emo-Y Bar and Lounge in San Juan waiting for their Uber ride when they were shot.
Claudio hired a lawyer who contacted authorities in San Juan to make arrangements for her to turn herself over in Caguas.
Police said she had been kicked out of the Emo-Y Bar and Lounge before she retaliated by firing her weapon.
She is facing multiple charges which include illegal possession of a firearm and opening fire in a public area.

Police commissioner Antonio López said there was an active search for other individuals who may have been involved in the shooting.
'This is a case that interests the entire country, all of Puerto Rico.

We are interested in clarifying it and we are heading towards that,' López said.
Palomino's family has been making arrangement to fly his body back to Peru. 
Classmates at the NYU Stern School of Business arranged a page to raise money for the Palomino and Medina families back home in Peru.
Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día reported that San Juan cops had slapped the Emo-Y Bar and Lounge with a $2,000 fine for operating a bar without a permit.
The business was fined on three occasions for the same violation. The previous fines have yet to been paid.
San Juan municipal spokesperson Michelle Cob told the outlet that Emo-Y Bar and Lounge has had a liquor license since 2018 and a permit to hold live music events.

However, it was not permitted to run the business as a bar.
'The Municipality of San Juan is taking legal action against the business and a legal recourse will be filed,' Cob said.
