The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features that include an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This shark robot vacuum can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the click of one button. You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do and can clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features a superior filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and also to clean your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, generate little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it before moving along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background and washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something needs attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's clutter that must be removed frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It is able to even remove wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium wyze robot vacuum mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum robot mop that has a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of simply following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the best robot for mopping. Its mop pads rotating clean tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features that you do not often find on robots at this price. It is able to create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that vacuum and mop that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice however they can make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
